From time immemorial flowers have taken centre stage when it comes to saying goodbye to our loved ones. Whether it is a casket spray, a beautiful wreath or even a single, white rose, the presence of flowers at a funeral service is a visual expression of love, sympathy, dignity and respect. Somehow, they take the place of words that can’t be said-- they are a means of lending support, of sharing the burden of grief with the family and of creating a brighter visual memory of the difficult day when it has passed.
This last week I have had the honour of creating several beautiful tributes. Made with the finest seasonal, Spring foliage and fresh white and green blooms, I hope that my arrangements helped to create a background of warmth, beauty and comfort to the families involved. xxx
